As a Psychotherapist:
Julie is multi-lingual. She has been in practice for over thirty years and a trainer of Integrative Psychotherapists and Counsellors for much of that time.
She practices using models and methods that are tailor made for her clients, so she will employ Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Mindfulness and creative arts therapies in the service of the client, depending on the nature and needs of the person who consults her. She works with a range of people and including those from the professions, public service, the arts, the armed services and companies and organisations needing to address change and transition.
The aim is to go right to the heart of the problem and together with the client, in a partnership of experts, to create a relationship of trust, potency and hope, in order to find solutions, uncover choices, options and hidden aspirations.
This means that she works strategically, enabling clients to get back into the driving seat of their lives whilst also being able to pull over get out of the vehicle and enjoy sitting by the river, under a tree, or looking out over the sea enjoying this moment in their journey.
Clients are invited to have an MOT whenever needed, so that ongoing development and transformation can continue.

Different people need need different approaches at different stages in their therapy. Julie will discuss with each client the most suitable way forward depending on the nature of the distress and the kind of personality of the client. The approach is transparent and clearly negotiated so that the client is equally engaged in the process; an equal partnership.
